Class Room Declaration of Independence:

On behalf of the 8th grade student body at A.E. Burdick School, we have come to a point where changes need to be made. It is time that we will make our own rights, laws and consequences that will affect upcoming students and us. We have come to a time, where we need to separate from king skonecki's wrong doings and form our own government. Today is the day that we form our own government and unite our classes as one.
Declaration of Natural Rights:
As students of MPS, we feel that we should have more rights.
1. We think that we should have the right to freedom.
2. We think that we should have the right to privacy.
3. We think that we should have the right to success.
4. We think that we should have the right to nourishment.
5. We think that we should have the right to freedom of speech.
6. We think that we should have the right to pursuit of happiness.
List of Grievances:
  • Mr. Skonecki picks on his students. He also abuses them verbally with sarcastic remarks.
  • Mr. Skonecki is that he grades our assignments unfairly and not thoroughly. Like when he gives us a decimal for our assignment’s grade. He should just round our assignments grade up to the nearest whole number. Another example is when he doesn’t read the whole paper we did. We feel that if he were to read the entire thing that we would get a better grade.
  • Mr. Skonecki also give way to much homework per week, also too many uninspected pop quizzes.
  • Mr. skonecki blocks too many kid friendly sites.
  • Mr. skonecki doesn't let us choose where we sit.
  • Mr. skonecki gives too many projects.
  • Mr. Skonecki ignores us while at his laptop.
  • Mr. Skonecki doesn't give us privacy.
  • Mr. Skonecki makes his room too cold.
Resolution of Independence by 205:
We the students of 205 have declared that all the students of 205 want freedom. That all connection from Mr. Skonecki is gone. That as an independent classroom we have the right to govern and control ourselves.
